Lakricha, General Manager

My free time is all about cuddling with my 3 fur babies (my puppies), bingeing horror movies with my siblings, or getting lost in my sketches. The best part about working the front desk is seeing how effective the massages are for our clients and seeing everyone leave with a smile!

Michiko (MJ)

I love swimming, reading, and playing with my cat. I'm amazed at how massage has improved my sleep quality, and I love to hear EMS clients talk about the positive impact it's had on their lives. Come visit us and we'll pair you with the perfect therapist!

Maddie

I am originally from Austin, but have lived in so many places, including the Philippines, Maine and South Carolina. I am currently in college and in my spare time, when I'm not doing homework, I spend time with my mom, boyfriend and dog. Working at EMS has been very rewarding in many ways! I work with an amazing group of people and I love to see clients happy after a great massage and great customer service.

Woodrow

Woodrow graduated from the Texas Healing Arts Institute and is a firm believer in the medical benefits of massage therapy. He has experience in several modalities, including but not limited to; deep tissue, acupressure, stretching techniques, neuromuscular and more. Woodrow is generally quiet but very focused and methodical in his approach to therapy.

Bob

Bob is a 1999 graduate of Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage. He has practiced massage for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience and diversity to the team. He has training and expertise in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial, Sports, Geriatric, and others. However, his favorite is deep tissue (level 4+). He also holds a national license with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).

A graduate from A New Beginning Massage School in 2018. Cricket has developed a passion for resetting both the mind and the muscles during a massage. A regenerative massage that relaxes the mind and quiets useless disfunction within the muscles, fascia, joints and nerves.

Matthew

Matthew graduated from the Texas Healing Arts Institute. Matthew is well versed in anatomy and physiology to understand how the bodywork "you may find him talking to a muscle as he is working relief ."He has extensive training in deep tissue, structural massage, pain management injury rehabilitation, and neuromuscular therapy. Massage as a method for self-care is something that Matthew truly embodies.

Jacqui

Jacqui is a Texas School of Massage graduate located in Houston, TX. She has experience in several clinical and chiropractic environments and is firm believer in self-care. Megan graduated from Avenue Five Institute, located locally in Austin, TX. Megan spent most of her time in the chiropractic environment, where she had the benefit of performing full-body and focus massages as prescribed by the chiropractic assessment.

Kay loves to get to know her clients, their needs, and the ability to impact their conditions positively.

From an early age I was massaging my mom to relieve her neck, back and hip pain after she suffered from a terrible accident that left her in chronic pain. Ultimately following her advice to become a Licensed Massage Therapist has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I attended Austin Schools of Massage and have now been a LMT since October 2005. I am certified in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point, Neuromuscular / Medical Massage, and Prenatal. I have experience working with a wide range of clients, including minors and seniors. I also proudly served my country on active duty in the U.S. Navy. I live in Round Rock with my wife, Rachel, and daughters Lucy, Sophie, Eva, and Nora. My hobbies are acapella singing, acting, and drawing.

Christopher is a graduate of A New Beginning School of Massage. He also has a BA in Psychology from UT Austin. Before beginning his career as a Massage Therapist, he was a Veterinary Assistant for seven and a half years. Chris has lived in the Austin area since 17 but is initially from Edinburg, Tx. His favorite techniques when performing massage are Swedish and Deep Tissue. His philosophy on healing is "If you believe in it, it will work."

Carter is passionate about the positive effects of massage therapy and is committed to helping clients get the most out of each session.

Leigha

I love music, movies, books and theatre. I am also a part of several fandoms and am obsessed with all of them. My favorite part about working the front desk is getting to meet new people and seeing the look of relief on their faces after a session. I love the team I work with here at Effective Massage & Stretch which makes coming to work that much better. In my off time I can be found reading, binging on my favorite shows, or getting some much needed puppy cuddles!

Rhonda

I am a mom of three daughters. I have Multiple Sclerosis, and massage has become a regular part of my life. I enjoy Effective Massage & Stretch; the clients, community, and vendors have become one. The satisfaction and relief we bring to many people are second to none.
