My free time is all about cuddling with my 3 fur babies (my puppies), bingeing horror movies with my siblings, or getting lost in my sketches. The best part about working the front desk is seeing how effective the massages are for our clients and seeing everyone leave with a smile!

My free time is spent watching movies at home and cuddling with my new kitten. Since I’ve been working here I’ve learned so much about how massage can heal and how many different amazing specialty massages we have here at EMS. I love when I can tell the difference in someone when I greet them versus when they come out of their massage.

Woodrow graduated from the Texas Healing Arts Institute and is a firm believer in the medical benefits of massage therapy. He has experience in several modalities, including but not limited to; deep tissue, acupressure, stretching techniques, neuromuscular and more. Woodrow is generally quiet but very focused and methodical in his approach to therapy.

Bob is a 1999 graduate of Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage. He has practiced massage for over 20 years and brings a wealth of experience and diversity to the team. He has training and expertise in Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Myofascial, Sports, Geriatric, and others. However, his favorite is deep tissue (level 4+). He also holds a national license with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).

Matthew graduated from the Texas Healing Arts Institute. Matthew is well versed in anatomy and physiology to understand how the bodywork "you may find him talking to a muscle as he is working relief ."He has extensive training in deep tissue, structural massage, pain management injury rehabilitation, and neuromuscular therapy. Massage as a method for self-care is something that Matthew truly embodies.

From an early age I was massaging my mom to relieve her neck, back and hip pain after she suffered from a terrible accident that left her in chronic pain. Ultimately following her advice to become a Licensed Massage Therapist has been one of the best decisions I have ever made! I attended Austin Schools of Massage and have now been a LMT since October 2005. I am certified in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point, Neuromuscular / Medical Massage, and Prenatal. I have experience working with a wide range of clients, including minors and seniors. I also proudly served my country on active duty in the U.S. Navy. My favorite part about working the front desk is getting to meet new people and seeing the look of relief on their faces after a session. I love the team I work with here at Effective Massage & Stretch which makes coming to work that much better. I grew up in the hill country and have happily called Austin home for 12 years. I spend my free time reading science fiction, baking, and hiking with my husband and daughter. I studied massage at Lauterstein Conway and practiced orthopedic massage for several years. While my massage career was cut short for medical reasons, I'm thrilled to have found a role that allows me to share my passion for massage by supporting the awesome therapists here at EMS and offering knowledgeable recommendations to clients
